The Nichols family has called Northeast Georgia home for the last 25 years, and are blessed to be a part of this community.
Mark grew up in the Allegheny Mountains of Western Pennsylvania, (which is why he loves the Appalachians – same beauty, less snow!) then moved to Florida to attend Clearwater Christian College, where he received Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration and Accounting.
Charlie (Nerissa) grew up in Seminole, Florida, and attended nursing school in Lakeland, FL. After college, Mark and Charlie were married at the church where they met. Mark worked as a manager for Winn Dixie Stores for 14 years, first in Lakeland, then was transferred to Clayton, GA and then Cornelia, GA, until those stores were closed.
He then spent the next 15 years becoming a master craftsman in wood floor finishing, refinishing, installation, and repair, which he greatly enjoyed. Charlie, while working at various nursing jobs, focused mainly on homeschooling their 7 children. They have been married 29 years, and attend Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lakemont.
